Edie Kausch has volunteered through much of her adult life. When her children were growing up, she spent hours volunteering at their schools – from weeding gardens, to serving as a librarian and president of several PTAs. In 2003, she helped successfully raise funds for KMG Ethiopia (Kembatta Woman's Self-Help Center). In 2008, she joined Soroptimist International, St. Helena Sunrise, to be more involved in women’s issues in her own community. During her first year, she chaired LUNAFEST, a woman's film festival sponsored by LUNA Bar to raise funds for non-profits.
Edie was deeply honored when asked to join the board of Oasis Rescue. Through the organization, she feels she can connect her own community to the needs and hopes of underserved women in the Middle East.
